SOCALAIT IS A NEW CALEDONIAN DISTRIBUTOR
Socalait distributes products manufactured by Group Calonne's own local factories : Fresh Dairy Products (Tennesse Farm, Yoplait), ice cream (Miko), chocolate (Lapita), and juice (Tampico).
Socalait also offers a large selection of international brands such as : Magnum, carte d’Or, Ben & Jerry's, Cornetto, King Cone, Solero, Andros (Juices and stewed fruit), Alpro (Beverages and Desserts), Apéricubes, Babybel, Boursin, Kiri, Vache qui Rit, Leerdammer, Société, President (butter & margarine, Cream, Cheese, Milk) Flora, Planta Fin, Fruit D’Or (Margarines)... The imported products mainly in Europe, Australia and New Zealand.
Socalait has recently created new business opportunities and is now exporting fresh products to the nearby islands such as Wallis & Futuna. The company is planning to increase export activities in the near future.

Founded in 1973, Group Calonne is a major player of the New Caledonia food & beverage industry employing more than 115 employees. The group is composed of several companies working together to ensure the best service to its customers: administration, production, import, logistics and distribution.
The Group Calonne’s three fundamental values are: Respect, Solidarity and Commitment.
2015. Acquisition of Gastronomie Import, a wholesaler mainly dedicated to the catering business. Grand Opening of the boutique “Chez Alexandre”.
2010. Tennessee Farm Laiterie starts manufacturing NESTLÉ chocolates under NESTLE franchise.
2011. Launch of LAPITA’s chocolate, manufactured by Tennesse Farm Laiterie.
Purchasing RIC & PAT ice creams – production stopped in 2007.
2004, Socalait purchases a local yogurt factory based in Bourail called Tennessee Farm Laiterie. This is the beginning of the distribution of TENNESSEE FARM’s yogurt.
Socalait develops its portfolio and starts distributing products for major international players: UNILEVER (Magnum, Carte D’Or, Ben & Jerry's, Flora, Fruit D’Or, Planta Fin, ...); LACTALIS (President, Société, Lactel, ...), BEL (Vache qui Rit, Babybel, Kiri, Apéricubes, Leerdammer, ...), ANDROS, etc...
Launch of the first 100% New Caledonia made Camembert: Le Broussard (1991) produced until the 2000.
Production and distribution of MIKO ice cream (1992) and TAMPICO juice (1994).
1973: First production of yogurt and cottage cheese under the YOPLAIT franchise. Runned by 23 employees, Société Calédonienne Laitière (SOCALAIT) manufactures and sales yogurts throughout the country.
